How I made the costume--->> [link] More Photos --->> [link]
NO PHOTOSHOP!!!!! (except watermark & slight contrast tuning)
This costume was supposed to debut at Philippine June ToyCon 2011 but couldn't
Anyway, this costume was much more complicated than I had originally expected! And it all started because I wanted to try doing a Fox-girl and because Zakuro is kick ass xD. Must.Stop.Liking.Tsunderesssss.
Highly inspired by and Monique (PH geisha girl ^_^!), I was determined to make Zakuro's Kimono as realistic as possible. So I spent a lot of time researching and ensuring the cut and materials used was as close as it could be (of course my polyester Cotton are far from authentic Japanese fabric but I tried =/ )
But the fact was this is Cosplay and I'm not skilled in the wearing of authentic Kimonos and I had to make a few alterations. Like how authentic Kimonos are a single piece but mine is a 2 piece with the ends of the top folded in to mimic real Kimonos.
I can go on and on about the anger I had with the costume and I haven't even started on the Obi!
i also went to check up the series..... wiki hahaha. anyway i was happy to see you in this costume and i love how u did your hair too besides your beautiful obi! (the red things that go around your ponytails),
(i have our unglam picture of us exchanging roles LOL!)
