Due to the higher altitude, Lake kawaguchiko is significantly colder than it's surrounding cities. The cold also gave birth to redder leaves which sadly, was not to be seen in Tokyo & Kyoto last year. Unfortunately, the red phenomenon was not as intense last year due to the delay in winter T_T.
